COS/OREF partner to form foundation endowment

COS AND OREF

It is a pleasure to inform our membership that the Clinical Orthopaedic Society has partnered with the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) and has established an endowment fund with OREF. Endowments are funds created to receive gifts that are held permanently with only the interest used to support ongoing research and educational programs. By establishing this endowment fund, Clinical Orthopaedic Society members will have a tremendous opportunity to support our society in perpetuity by contributing to OREF and designating the Clinical Orthopaedic Society Endowment. The Clinical Orthopaedic Society joins a list of more than 25 specific endowment funds at OREF.

OREF continues to make it a high priority to establish partnerships with other orthopaedic organizations. It is clear that by working with the many different organizations within the specialty OREF can maximize the dollars available to support high quality research and education programs. Established in 1955, OREF has proudly funded more than $55 million to young and new investigators through more than 1900 grants and awards. Generous supporters of OREF include orthopaedic surgeons, physician groups, institutions, corporations, and grateful patients.
